LEWISTON — Madelyn Ethel Pulsifer, 89, of Poland passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 14, at Central Maine Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born in Poland on Feb. 26, 1926, the daughter of Benjamin and Bertha Austin Ames. For 51 years, she enjoyed being a loving wife to Carl P. Pulsifer and a nurturing mother to Debra and Sandy.

She enjoyed family camping, square dancing, attending country music shows with her sister, shopping and dining out with her family.

Surviving family members include Myrtle Fields and her husband, Arnold, Debra Jane Boyd and her husband, Daniel, and Sandra Alaine Robbins and her husband, Rupert; five grandchildren, Nathan Robbins and his wife, Melissa, Jason Boyd and his wife, Jennifer, Heather Edwards and her husband, Ryan, Sarah Boyd and her boyfriend, Mark Martin, and Amy Robbins and her fiance, Zachary Vallee; 10 great-grandchildren, Issac and Jacob Robbins, Daniel, Christopher and Madelyn Boyd, Ayden and Carly Edwards, Emma Boyd, Lily Darnell and Mason Vallee. She will be greatly missed by all, including her faithful companion, Willow.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Raymond Ames ( Buddy); and her sister, Hazel Libby.
