‘New Testament Canon’ Thursdays
NORWAY — This autumn, Christ Episcopal Church will lead a series, “The Making of the New Testament Canon.”
It will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in September and October at 35 Paris St.

‘What Is Wisdom?’ sermon
PARIS — “What Is Wisdom?” is the title of Anita White’s sermon at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street for 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.
Music for worship service will be led by Donna Hurd, and Sunday School will be under the direction of Renee Wales. Fellowship, food and coffee will follow the worship service, and all are welcome.
Childcare is available and the First Universalist Church is wheelchair accessible.
The First Universalist Church welcomes and celebrates all beliefs.
‘Blessing of Animals’ at PCC
POLAND — Poland Community Church UCC will host “Blessings of Animals,” a special service, from 9 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27.
The service will led by the Rev. Holly Morrison and Deacon Paul Andrews. This will be a morning of joyful song and story held outdoors rain or shine at 1212 Maine St., Route 26.
Worshipers may bring leashed or caged animal friends. Donations of pet foods will be given to PCC’s Food Bank.
UMC to host bean supper
AUBURN — The United Methodist Church will host a bean and casserole supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.
Cost of admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger.
