LEWISTON — Insights and trends about the current state of the church will be discussed at Lifetree Cafe, 1919 Lisbon Road, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.

The program, “Leaving God? Insights From Those Who’ve Walked Away From Church,” includes interviews with John Bucher, an author, filmmaker, and screenwriter who was hurt by the church, and Dr. Josh Packard, a professor and researcher at the University of Northern Colorado.

Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss their own personal experiences with organized religion.

Admission to the hourlong event is free.
