BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Land Trust will host a grand showing of photographs, original art and written works of the Mahoosuc mountain range Saturday.
The event is titled Your Backyard, the Mahoosuc Region and will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Land Trust Office on Mayville Road.
Land Trust member Jolan Ippolito said artwork will be from three age groups: children under 12; 13 to 18, and 19 and older.
“Last year’s Art Celebration of the Land Trust’s 25th anniversary was a huge success, with over 50 art entries,” Ippolito said. “Many of the artists were delighted to have a place to exhibit their art and continued to bring art in during the year to display in the office.”
Each age group will receive prizes in categories of photographs, artwork and written work.
The Mahoosuc Land Trust is an accredited community land trust encouraging public interest in conservation in central Oxford County and eastern Coos County in New Hampshire. It supports a balance of growth and conservation and emphasizes sustainable and traditional land uses.
