AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library lists October programs geared for teens.

Teens! Friday @ the Movies from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, in the Androscoggin Community Room. The theme will include zombies with a choice between “Warm Bodies” or “World War Z.” Just for teens ages 13-18 (due to the PG-13 rating) and will include snacks.

Teen Snack Chat! from 3-4 p.m., Mondays, Oct. 5 and 19, in the Teen Space. Twice a month, a healthy after-school snack and conversation about current events. We hope to invite guest speakers. Program is provided by support from Jim Pittman of Jim’s Auto Sales, just for teens ages 12-18.

Teen Anime Club from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Teens can drop in to talk about their favorite (or least favorite) manga, watch a selection of anime and try a hand at drawing characters. Program made possible by a gift of the P&G Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Snacks provided.

Gaming Hour from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Friday, Oct. 30, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Video games and snacks. XBox and Wii (games rated teen and younger). For teens, ages 12-18. Program made possible by a gift of the P&G Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Safe Voices from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Teen Space with Julia from Safe Voices. She will chat about relationships and work on projects. Ages 12-18.

College Night for Teens and Parents from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Admissions representatives from nine Maine colleges and universities on a panel facilitated by Maggie Davis. Following the panel discussion and a brief Q&A session, admissions reps will be available with information specific to their schools. Teens! Flashback Friday, 4-5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, in the Teen Space, available third Friday of each month. Childhood activities, including Legos, Play Doh, puzzles and Candyland. Childhood favorite snacks. Ages 12-18.

For Parents: Talking to Your Teen, 3-4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Join the discussion about the new world of raising teenagers. Learn more about: Why it’s normal for teens to act weird; why teens stop talking and what parents can do; how to help teens manage stress and anger; how to communicate constructively with a teen. Workshop presented by Amy Kimball of Advocates for Children.

Maine Job Corps, 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Conference Room, for teens and new adults. Jill Moody of the Maine Job Corps visits to explain how the program works and who is eligible.

Tweens in the Teen Space, noon to 2 p.m., Wednesdays, Oct. 21, 28, in the Teen Space, second floor, on half-day Wednesdays. Get a head start on homework; crafts, board games available, or simply hang out. For Tweens who are in 6th grade.

Teens! DIY Takeover, 4-5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Teen Space. Making Halloween decorations. Snacks provided. Ages 12-18.

SAPRS, 3-4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, in the Teen Space. Visit with Molly from Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Services. She will discuss and create awareness of teen issues, such as healthy relationships, sexual assault, bullying, harassment, substance use/abuse and Internet safety. Just for teens, may include snacks.

DIY Teens! Media Club, 4-5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the CREATE! Media Lab. Make trailers, podcasts and more to post on the website.
