CARIBOU, Maine (AP) — Maine state police and the fire marshal’s office are investigating the death of a man found inside a Caribou house.
Officials say the body was found after Caribou firefighters responded to a house fire Thursday evening. Fire damage was confined to the interior of the home.
Steve McCausland of the Maine Department of Public Safety says the body was transported overnight to the state medical examiner’s office in Augusta, where an autopsy was underway. Working with state police are investigators from the state fire marshal’s office and Caribou police.
