RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has announced the winners in the Western Mountain Photography Show, held Sept. 18 and 19 at the Rangeley Inn.

Frozen River by William Burke won Best in Show.

Color Photography: First place, Shin Falls by Mark Turner; second place, Momma Nesting Loon by Tami J McGarvey; and third place, Cascade Falls Rain by David Goodman.

Black and White Photography: First place, Beartooth Butte Reflecting in Beartooth Lake by Walter Mularz; second place, Motherhood by Laura Zamfirescu; and third place, South Basin Katahdin by Mark Turner.

The winner of the popular vote for People’s Choice award was Mother Nature’s Fury, by Tami J. McGarvey.

More than 75 people people attended the awards reception.
