Moore-Leamon to lead service in Paris

PARIS — Silver Moore-Leamon will lead the 10 a.m. worship service at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street Sept. 27.

The title of the sermon is “Changing Focus.” Music for this service is under the direction of Donna Hurd and Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales. Coffee, conversation and fellowship will follow the worship service. All are welcomed. Child care is available and the church is wheelchair accessible.

‘Life’s Healing Choices’ in Rumford

RUMFORD — A recovery support group for those who struggle with hurts, habits and hangups will be offered starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at 112 Washington St.

The focus will be on “Life’s Healing Choices,” a DVD series by John Baker and Rick Warren.

The group will be confidential, supportive, Bible-based and Christ-centered.

Rummage Sale at First Universalist

PARIS — A rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3, at First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St.

A bag sale will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Cost is $1 per large bag.

Items include clothes, books, shoes and white elephant items.

Youth Fellowship reunion planned

MINOT — A reunion for the Minot Youth Fellowship will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Minot United Methodist Church on the corner of Route 121 and Empire Road.

The social hour will begin at 4 p.m. and supper for members will be served at 5 p.m.

After the Sunday services on Oct. 4, the MYF members will serve coffee and donuts downstairs in the church.

‘Blessing of Animals’ joint sermon

PARIS — “Blessing of Animals” is a joint venture between Christ Episcopal Church and Trinity Lutheran Church.

The sermon will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Trinity Lutheran, 34 Buckfield Road.
