1943 – 2015
AUBURN — Ralph Jones, 71, of 74 Lake Auburn Ave., died Thursday, Sept. 17, at home.
He was born in Providence, R.I. on Dec. 29, 1943, he was the son of Allison and Margaret Fisher Jones. He was educated in Providence schools and worked as a painter for most of his life both self-employed and, for many years, for Robinson & Associates. He moved to the local area more than 20 years ago in order to be closer to his children.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved horse racing and gambling.
Ralph is survived by two sons, Ralph Hudson and wife, Tonya, of Plato, Mo., John Jones and girlfriend, Judy Mitchell, of Auburn; a daughter, Bobbi Jo Lyons and husband, Danny, of Auburn; his sister, Florence Kidd; and brothers, John and Robert Jones.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Heley and Janet Pierce; and brothers, David, Ronald, Vincent and Harold Jones.
