AUBURN — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Albert N. DeBlois was held on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at St. Philip’s Church following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Lariviere celebrated the Mass.
During the Mass, the First Reading was read by Albert’s son-in-law, Michael Bonsey, and the Prayer of the Faithful was led by Gerry Gosselin. The offertory was brought to the altar by Albert’s children, Robert DeBlois, Diane Bonsey and Michael DeBlois. A poem was read by Albert’s nephew, Paul Lavallee, in honor of his uncle. Words of remembrance were then expressed by his son, Robert DeBlois. The pallbearers were grandchildren Zachary DeBlois, Bethany Saindon, Alexa Bonsey, Kendra Bonsey and Eva Bonsey; and son-in-law Michael Bonsey. A reception of fellowship was held in the parish hall immediately following the Mass.
Committal services with military honors will be held at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m.
