ANDOVER — Stephens High School Class of 1952 will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Little Red Hen in Andover for its monthly luncheon.

AARP offering Smart Driver course
OQUOSSOC — An AARP Smart Driver course will be offered to the community from noon to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Rangeley Guides’ & Sportsmen’s Association clubhouse on the Old Skiway Road.
The cost of this program is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. A minimum of 10 participants is necessary for the course to be held. Preregistration is required.
The AARP Smart Driver course teaches defensive driving techniques, how to deal with aggressive drivers, how to safely navigate adverse weather conditions, new regulations and useful information on automobile technology and much more.

Free financial workshop in Mexico
MEXICO — “My Money Works: Tools for Smart Money Choices” is a free, 15-hour course designed to help gain skills and confidence needed to stretch money, pay bills, reduce debt, find money for savings and set personal financial goals.
At the end of the class, students will have a plan in place to achieve greater financial stability. A follow-up session is scheduled to provide additional networking and support.
New Ventures Maine is offering the course from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 6, 13, 19, and 26, and Nov. 3, at Region 9 Adult Education, 377 River Road.
