BREWER (AP) — Police say a Bangor woman was operating a meth lab out of her hotel room.
A spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety says the hotel’s cleaning staff discovered the operation Thursday morning at the Vacationland Inn in Brewer.
Police arrested the 29-year-old Bangor woman who was renting the room earlier in the day on a warrant for failing to appear in court.
Authorities say she was charged with drug trafficking Thursday night and is being held on nearly $1,500 cash bail.
Officials say the hotel was evacuated when the meth lab team arrived. Drug agents wearing protective suits confirmed that there was a meth lab in the room.
