LISBON — Images from old glass negatives, found by members, will be featured at the Lisbon Historical Society’s meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14.

The presentation will be in the archives room of the Lisbon Historical Society in the MTM Center on School Street. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The images are from early in the past century. Members “Breezy” Galgovich and Tony Doyon uncovered discarded collections of these negatives, which have been donated to the Society, restored and digitized by Society volunteer Earl Williams.

Many images are from the Lisbon area, and some picture Bowdoin College students, show different transportation, dress and activities of the day. Many of the pictures have been identified, but others are mysteries. Those attending may help name people, places and events in those restored images. Preview images from the presentation are posted on the group’s Facebook page.

Parking and entrance are at the rear of the building. FMI: 207-353-8510.
