Fire Department Fall Breakfast
LEEDS — The Leeds Volunteer Fire Department will hold its Fall french toast and pancake breakfast from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Leeds Fire Station, Route 106, Leeds. Menu includes pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, ham, donuts, coffee and juice. Cost: Adults $6, children $4.
Funds raised will be used to help purchase a new tank for the tanker truck.
West Minot Grange to host harvest supper
WEST MINOT — The West Minot Grange will host its annual harvest supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
Corned beef, five vegetables and gingerbread with whipped cream will be served, along with beverages. The cost is $8 for adults, and $4 for children younger than 12.

Commercial Travelers of America to meet Oct. 10.
MECHANIC FALLS — Twin City Council 160 of the United Commercial Travelers of America will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Bucknam Oaks.
A potluck supper will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome to attend.
Swingin’ Bears plan dance
PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will host its second dance of its 52nd season from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. in the cafeteria of the Oxford Hills Middle School, 100 Pine St., with square dancing levels of Mainstream and Plus, which will be alternating with round dancing.
Walter Lougee of Milo will call the dance, and Bernie Porter of Hooksett, N.H., will be the cuer.
Admission is $7 per person, but non-dancers are invited to come at no charge to watch how much fun it is to be able to square dance.
There will be door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Refreshments will be available.
OES to honor Navy members
WALES – Lakeside Chapter No. 60 will meet at the Grange/Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Lakeside will be honoring active and retired U.S. Navy members and members with family affiliations.
The traditional meeting will review the Landmarks of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Associate Conductress’ lecture. Members will renew their obligation and listen to the reading of the Grand Chapter Charity Folder to be sure that all members understand the function of the charity.
Women are asked to wear colored gowns. Men should wear either tuxedos or dark suits. Refreshments will be provided.
