Wilkins House indoor yard sale

WATERFORD — The Wilkins House will host its final indoor yard sale of the season from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Wilkins House on Plummer Hill Road.

Puzzles, books, bikes and household needs will be sold, along with craft items. Attendees can roll a die and get 5- to 30- percent off their purchases.

Rummage sale planned in May

JAY — North Jay Grange 10 will host a fall food and rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.

Furniture and household items will be for sale.

Basket-making returning

HARRISON — Lakeside Grange and Franklin Grange will host basket-making and a lunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Lakeside Grange, 34 Main St.

Participants will learn how to make a mail basket. There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Lunch will be served at noon.

The cost for this event is $25 a person. Reservations are required.

Daughters of Isabella hosting Fall Bazaar

JAY — The Daughters of Isabella 677 of St. Rose of Lima will meet the Daughters of Rumford to install officers at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18.

The Daughters Fall Bazaar will take place Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Parish Hall. Needed are items for the food table, cookies for the cookie walk table, items for the white elephant table, books for the book table and children’s items. Clothing, computers and microwaves will not be accepted.

Oxford Hills Bee Club to host workshop

PARIS — The Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will host a workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road.

The topic will be preparing bees for winter by checking for honey supply and wrapping hives.

Farmington Elks Block Party

FARMINGTON —The Farmington Elks Lodge will present its fourth annual Block Party on Saturday, Oct. 10, with a car/bike show from 2 to 4 p.m., music by Matt and the Barnburners from 4 to 8 p.m., and a chicken barbecue from 5 to 6 p.m.

Tickets are $10 a person and must be purchased in advance at Madore’s Market, the Elks members’ lounge, or reserved by calling 207-778-6761.

Supper at East Otisfield church

OTISFIELD — The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road, will hold an old-fashioned country meatloaf supper on Saturday, Oct. 10. There will be two seatings at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.

The menu includes varieties of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green bean and carrot casseroles, rolls and pumpkin pudding or apple crisp. Gluten-free options will be available.

The meal is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit church community activities.
