Church to serve monthly luncheon

FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon at noon Saturday, Oct. 10, at 227 Main St.

The menu includes shepherd’s pie, rolls and pumpkin spice cake.

Delivery service will be available in Farmington.

Snowshoe club supper and dance

RUMFORD — A roast pork supper and dance will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Snowshoe Club, 227 Waldo St. Supper will be served from 5 to 6 p.m.

Music will be provided by Wildflower Band, Bill Scott and Palmer, from 7 to 11 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Members and guest are welcome.

Annual yard sale at town house

ALBANY TOWNSHIP — The annual yard sale will be held starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Albany Town House, Vernon Street at Hunt’s Corner Road.

Library to hold fall book sale

NEW SHARON — The Jim Ditzler Memorial Library will hold a fall book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.

There will be fiction, nonfiction, children’s books and other new items. Paperbacks will be 10 for $10.

Proceeds will benefit the library programs.

Heywood Club to meet for hike

NORWAY — The Heywood Club of Norway will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, for a leisurely, easy hike at the Roberts Preserve Farm, 64 Roberts Road.

Members can call other members to carpool and plan to meet at the farm at 2 p.m. Family members and friends are welcome.

A short business meeting will follow at Inside Scoop Ice Cream shop in South Paris.
