SWEDEN — The Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library of Lovell is joining with Pietree Orchard to offer a fun day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. The orchard, located on Waterford Road in Sweden, will be the site of the family activities.

Among the activities offered will be a hay maze to conquer, a wagon ride through the orchard and games including an apple bean bag toss, a ladder ball game, a ring toss, chess and checkers.

The cost will be $8 for adults and $4 for children 4 to 12. For the $8 ticket, the adults will get a bag of freshly baked mini-doughnuts, a pint of apple cider, a 1/4 peck of pick-your-own apples, plus the hayride and all the games open to everyone.

For the $4 ticket, the children will get a bag with mini-doughnuts, a piece of fruit (apple or pear) and a mini-cup of cider. Children 3 and younger are free.

Tickets can be purchased only at the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library and will be available through Friday, Oct. 16. Tickets will not be sold at Pietree Orchard.

In addition to hosting this event, Pietree Orchard will donate 10 percent of all sales Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17 and 18. It will include items purchased in the store such as food, pizza, books and gifts, as well as pick-your-own apples.
