Class to travel out of town to meet
MEXICO — Stephens High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at St. Theresa’s Church parking lot.
Members will travel from there to an out-of-town meeting. They should bring a sandwich. Dessert and drinks will be provided. Friends are welcome.

Weary Club to meet for coffee
NORWAY — The Weary Club will meet from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, for coffee and doughnuts. Join friends for coffee before they head for warmer climates.
Events planned in Andover
ANDOVER — Andover is planning autumn events in October.
The Historical Society will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct 18.
There will be a cider press in action and the Andover School PTA will hold the “Great Pumpkin Challenge.” People are invited to bring their favorite pumpkin foods to be judged and sold to benefit the PTA. Food should be brought to the Elm Street building between 10 and 11 a.m. to be in the contest.
The East Andover Schoolhouse will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Many school-related items will be displayed, including desks from the Elm Street School and Black Berry Academy, also the blackboard from the South Andover School.
The First Congregational Church will hold a rummage and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.
‘The Armor of God’ is sermon topic
PARIS — “The Armor of God” is the title of Anita White’s sermon for the First Universalist Church on Pine Street at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18.
Music for the worship service is under the direction of Donna Hurd, and Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales. Coffee, friendship and conversation will follow the worship service. All are welcome.
Child care is available at the church, which is wheelchair accessible. The church welcomes and celebrates all beliefs.
