TURNER — Kaitlyn Leclerc found the net with two minutes remaining to give Leavitt a 2-1 victory over Oceanside in a late-season KVAC field hockey tilt Tuesday.

After a scoreless first half, Ashley Mathieu gave the Hornets (9-5) a 1-0 lead nine minutes into the second frame. Ainsley Meklin tied the contest for Oceanside (5-8-1) with 5:45 left in regulation.

Hailey DeMascio made four saves for Leavitt, while Mattie Hooper turned aside six shots for Oceanside.

Boys’ soccer

Spruce Mountain 0, MCI 0 (2OT)

JAY — Spruce Mountain and Maine Central Institute played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie in boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Spruce Mountain edged MCI, 10-9, in shots on goal.

Phoenix goalie Mike Dyke made seven saves, while Huskies’ goalie Lazar Roasaj turned back six in the game.

St. Dom’s 7, Carrabec 3

AUBURN — Gavin Bates registered a hat trick Tuesday to lead St. Dom’s to a 7-3 win over Carrabec in a MVC boys’ soccer matchup.

Austin Roy chipped in for the Saints (8-2-1) with two goals, while single tallies from Jacob Charest and Ryan Lutrzykowski completed the scoring. Tyler Reichert, Jacob Atwood and TK Pray scored goals for the Cobras (6-4-1) in a solid effort.

Alex Michaud made 10 saves for St. Dom’s, while Trent Richardson deflected 15 shots between the posts for Carrabec.

Girls’ soccer

Wiscasset 2, Winthrop 1

WINTHROP — Gabby Chapman netted her second goal of the game late in the second half to give Wiscasset a 2-1 win over Winthrop in a girls’ soccer tilt Tuesday.

The Ramblers received their lone goal from Jillian Taylor.

Lindsey Gordon made eight saves for Wiscasset, while Shie Smith turned aside five shots for Winthrop.

Waterville 5, Leavitt 0

WATERVILLE — Sophie Webb netted a pair of goals Tuesday to propel Waterville to a 5-0 victory over Leavitt in a late-season KVAC girls’ soccer matchup.

Amica Joliceur, Fotini Shanos and Jordan Jabar also tallied for the Panthers to complete the scoring.

Gabby Martin made seven saves to preserve the shutout, while Angela Daigle turned aside nine shots between the posts for Leavitt.

Yarmouth 2, Gray-New Gloucester 0

GRAY — Katie Clemmer and Hannah Merrill each netted goals in the second half Tuesday as Yarmouth hustled to a 2-0 late-season win over Gray-New Gloucester.

After a scoreless first half, the Clippers (5-4-3) revved up their offense after the break.

Meredith Lane needed only one save to notch the shutout, while Jen Sutherland turned aside nine shots for the Patriots (5-5-1).

Oak Hill 6, Dirigo 0

WALES — Sydney Drew and Tamara Morgan scored the first two goals of each quarter in tandem as Oak Hill shut out Dirigo 6-0 in girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Raiders (8-4) were prolific on offense, causing Dirigo goalie Kenzie Lord to make 29 saves. Raiders goalies Anna Dodge and Cassidy Tibbetts combined for four saves.

Brittaney Marquis contributed a goal and an assist for Oak Hill.

Mt. Blue 2, Oxford Hills 0

PARIS — Eryn Doiron scored a pair of goals to carry Mt. Blue to a 2-0 victory over Oxford Hills in girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Doiron scored a goal in each half with Nicole Pires assisting on the game opener.

Goalie Sam Bickford made seven saves for the Vikings, while goalie Addie Schanz prevented two to earn the win in net for the Cougars.

Kennebunk 4, Poland 0

KENNEBUNK — Sierra Tartre scored the first of four Kennebunk goals as the Rams blanked Poland 4-0 in WMC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Rams (4-4-4) capitalized on several breakaways and finished strong.

Goalie Erin Brewer made 15 saves for the Knights (2-10), while goalie Kyra Schwartzman stopped two to earn the win in net for Kennebunk.
