RUMFORD — Among the calls answered by the Police Department recently were:

* Oct. 13, 6:07 a.m. — A male reported being assaulted on his way to work on the Business Island. The suspect male fled the area. Sgt. Tracey Higley is investigating.

* Oct. 12, 1:28 p.m. — A Somerset Street resident reported the theft of their medical marijuana. Sgt. Higley is investigating.

* Oct. 10, 3:49 p.m. — Route 2 business reported a shoplifter. Sgt. Doug Maifeld responded and issued a summons on a charge of theft to a 19-year-old Carthage male. Court date is Dec. 14.

* Oct. 10, 1:37 p..m. — An Erchles Street resident reported the rear window to their car was shot out with a BB gun. $150 damage. Patrolman Brad Gallant is investigating.

* Oct. 10, 1:30 p.m. — A vendor at Pumpkin Fest on Congress Street reported a decorated crate that was to be auctioned was stolen. Patrolman Gallant is investigating.

* Oct. 8, 11:19 a.m. — A Spruce Street resident reported his apartment was burglarized. Prescription medication and cash were taken. Patrolman Gallant and Detective Peter Casey are investigating.

* Oct. 7, 3 p.m. — Brittany L. White, 25, of Rumford was arrested by Capt. Daniel Garbarini on a charge of aggravated assault for an incident on Hancock Street. White was ineligible for bail and transported to the Oxford County Jail in Paris.

* Oct. 6, 9:07 p.m. —Rene R. Therrien, 35, of Rumford was arrested on Cumberland Street on a charge of violating conditions of release. Therrien was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is to appear Nov. 9 in Rumford District Court.

* Oct. 6, 10:25 a.m. — Two Waldo Street residents reported damage to their tires. Sgt. Maifeld is investigating.

* Oct. 6, 9:10 a.m. — Robert Lemieux, 61, of Rumford was arrested on Oxford Avenue on charges of trespass, disorderly and violation conditions of release. He was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is to appear Dec. 14 in Rumford District Court.

* Oct. 3, 11:51 p.m. — Mallory Tompkins, 29, of Dixfield was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence on Falmouth Street. Tompkins is scheduled to appear Dec. 7 in Rumford District Court. She was released on $1,200 unsecured bail.

* Oct. 1, 8:01 p.m. — Patrick Dagggett, 41, of Rumford was arrested on Cumberland Street on a charge of violating conditions of release. He was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

* Oct. 1, 7:05 p.m. — Jaime Austin, 37, of Rumford was arrested on Cumberland Street on a charge of disorderly conduct. She was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is to appear Nov. 9 in Rumford District Court.

* Oct. 1, 7:05 p.m. — Marianela Rodriquez, 39, of Rumford was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct on Cumberland Street. She was released on $600 unsecured bail and is to appear Nov. 9 in Rumford District Court.
