BETHEL — The Western Mountains Senior College will hold a Brown Bag Lunch from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Bethel Inn Library.

The lunch program allows residents to bring a lunch and have a discussion about a specific topic.

College President Nancy Davis said Linda Robinson of Bar Harbor, author of “Sunday Morning, Shamwana — A Midwife’s Letters from the Field,” will speak about conditions in Equatorial Africa, and give advice on how people can improve their sensitivity toward cultures different than their own.

Before the lunch program, Robinson will speak at McLaughlin Auditorium at Gould Academy about the years she served as a nurse-midwife in a village in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

People are welcome to attend both events.

For more information or to RSVP, contact Davis at 207-381-1110 or email her at nancydavis@megalink.net.
