BIDDEFORD — A Hepatitis C Awareness & Education Initiative, a free educational event for all Vietnam veterans, spouses and partners, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at American Legion Post 26, 508 Elm St.

It is being co-hosted by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1044.

Doors will open for registration from 1:30 to 2 p.m. with a lunch buffet from 2 to 2:30 p.m. A welcome and introduction will be followed by a Vietnam veteran presentation from 2:35 to 2:50 p.m. There will be a clinical educator and question-and-answer session after that.

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1044 is inviting all Vietnam veterans to join the group.

A representative will be at American Legion Post 26, 508 Elm St., Route 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday and Friday to answer questions.
