After 11 years of having had the privilege of serving Auburn residents, I have chosen to assist Peter Letourneau to become Auburn’s mayor. Letourneau properly recognizes the role of mayor, outlined by the city’s charter. He respects the authority of the city manager and appreciates the work ethic of the manager’s staff.
He is committed to be an effective City Council moderator and liaison between the council and manager. He is dedicated to representing the interests of Auburn, free of conflicting influences.
He has the experience and maturity to foster collaboration for the betterment of Auburn and of the larger regional community.
He will join other mayors to advance the common interests of service center communities, e.g., revenue sharing.
Peter Letourneau will be a true leader, making good ideas better ideas through participatory conversation and action.
