BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Land Trust will host their 26th annual meeting at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, in the Ordway Living Room at Gould Academy, member Jolan Ippolito said Friday morning.

Ippolito said following a brief business meeting, strategic planner Gary Stern will present and discuss the results of a community survey the land trust distributed to residents in central Oxford County and eastern Coos County, N.H., to help develop a five-year strategic plan.

The purpose of the plan, Ippolito said, was to figure out how to conserve lands in both regions and provide the greatest benefit to area residents, businesses and visitors.

She said that the meeting is open to the public. A $5 donation is requested at the door for those who are not Mahoosuc Land Trust donors.

The Mahoosuc Land Trust is an accredited community land trust encouraging public interest in conservation in central Oxford County and eastern Coos County, N.H., supporting a balance of growth and conservation while emphasizing sustainable and traditional land uses.
