LEWISTON — Red snappers are what got Simones’ Hot Dog Stand listed on Thrillist’s 21 Best Hot Dog Stands in America list.
“We don’t care why they dye the natural-casing bastards [are] bright red. All we care about is how good they taste, especially when steamed up by Simones’ (you can get them grilled too… don’t),” is how Thrillist explained Simone’s placement on the list.
They also recommended getting the Simones’ dogs with chili and cheese. Which can be found accompanying other top dogs on the list. Thrillist also paid tribute to hot dogs cooked in butter, deep fried and served with fried egg.
