VEAZIE — Maine State Police say a driver was killed when his car left Interstate 95 in Veazie, struck a tree and overturned, throwing him from the vehicle.

Police said 50-year-old Kendall Gordon Jr. of Brewer died at the scene Wednesday night.

No one else was in the car.

Police said the likely cause of the crash was speeding.
