AUBURN —  The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston has announced its November programming for children and adults. 

Home School Exercise: Home-schooling families with children ages 4 to 15 can stay active while making new friends. The program will run Mondays and Wednesdays, starting Monday, Oct. 26. Registration accepted through Friday, Nov. 6.

Youth Swim Lessons: This seven-week session is for infants through 12 years. Multiple class times are available. Session begins Monday, Nov. 2.

Art Class: Participants, ages 7 and older, will paint with acrylics on canvas. The cost, $15 for Y members and $20 non-members, includes materials. The course is set for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 7.

Lunch & Learn: Presenters from Seniors Plus will discuss programs available to older adults from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10. A $5 registration fee is required and includes lunch.

YPLAA After Hours: The Y is excited to host November’s Young Professionals of the Lewiston-Auburn Area After Hours event. Event includes a free throw contest for adults and youth, a smoothie machine, tours and giveaways. It’s set to run from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12.

Thanksgiving Member Appreciation: The Y will lead special group exercise classes and family activities Thanksgiving morning, 7­ to 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 26.

All programs take place at 62 Turner St. with the exception of gymnastics and field hockey. Pre-registration is required for most events and programs. Some fees apply, and financial assistance is available for qualifying individuals and families.
