I think Lewiston needs people willing to represent their constituents, not the views of their jobs. The city needs candidates who are willing to take what has been a welfare town, a safe place for people to come to get assistance without having to work, and make a change for the better.
It is time Lewiston officials start worrying about the citizens who have been here all their lives and have worked to survive.
Lewiston was founded by working families looking to make a better life for themselves. Now look at it — the Dirty Lew.
Mayor Robert Macdonald and Councilman Michael Lachance are people who take their roles seriously. Both are available to assist when people have an issue and both are willing to take a stance different than the rest.
On Nov. 3, I know who I will be voting for.
