TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education, located at 486 Turner Center Road, has announced upcoming classes set for the week of Nov. 2 and 9.

Reiki I: Reiki is an ancient art that channels energy through the hands to promote healing. The course will teach hands-op methods for self-healing, and participants will receive a first degree attunement.

Intro to Chakradance: This is a self-discovery tool that participants can use to journey inward and connect with the true self. A spontaneous dance to specific music, guided imagery and mandela art are all aids in the journey. Participants should dress comfortably, bring water and an open mind.

Maine Driving Dynamics: This course is designed to improve defensive driving awareness and abilities. Participants will take part in discussions of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. Those completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record.

Tap it & Heal: Learn a simplified version of two tapping techniques designed to relieve pain and suffering, particularly emotional pain. Similar to acupuncture, but without needles, taping specific acupressure points promotes energy flow and removes blocks.

ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification: This nationally accredited food safety program is designed for food service managers, directors, chefs, kitchen managers, dietitians and other food service staff. Topics include food handling, HAACP, pest control and more.
