Club seeks vendors for fair

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Emblem Club No. 460 will hold a Christmas Craft Fair during the Chester Greenwood Celebration and the Rotary Festival of trees.

The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sauturday, Dec. 5, at the Farmington Elks Lodge No. 2430.

Community Networking Meeting Oct. 28

RUMFORD — The next Community Networking Meeting sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition will be at noon Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Rumford Public Library in the Community Room.

Those attending should bring a lunch.

Agenda items include updates from participating organizations and programs of the RVHCC.

Shaved Steak Night in Rumford

RUMFORD — The Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 will host a Shaved Steak Night Wednesday, Oct. 28. Serving time will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Cost is $8, and the menu will include a bag of chips and a dessert. Take outs will be available. 

Halloween ‘Spooktacular’ Party

OXFORD — The Oxford Recreation Department will host a Hallowen “Spooktacular” Party for the children and families of Oxford from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Recreation Center, 223 King St.

There will be fun games and costume judging for prizes. Children can take a spook walk. Snacks and candy will be given to children.

Hunter’s breakfast planned

OXFORD — The Lake Thompson Fish and Game will host a hunter’s breakfast from 4:30 to 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, in the clubhouse on Paine Road.

The menu will include bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes, fried potatoes, baked beans, toast, juice and coffee. 

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12.

Historical Society hosting breakfast

WEST PARIS — The West Paris Historical Society will hold its annual Family and Hunters Breakfast from 5:30 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

The Society will raffle off a black power muzzle rifle with tickets being sold at the door during breakfast only.

The price of breakfast is $7 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger.

Breakfast includes orange juice, eggs bacon, white toast, omelets, pancakes, coffee cake, coffee, donuts and more.
