I recently moved to Lewiston from another state. I want folks to know how friendly and helpful that people in this city have been to me and my husband.

An example of this kindness and caring for others was experienced recently.

I accidentally dropped an armrest protector in the Department of Motor Vehicles parking lot. Upon calling the department, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that someone had picked it up and taken it to one of the workers instead of leaving it to be driven over and destroyed.

That person knew the worth it might be to another and took the initiative to salvage it.

Thank you to whomever did the good deed.
