1934 – 2015
LEWISTON — Nancy M. Cote, 80, of 229 Scribner Blvd., Lewiston, died Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Marshwood Center nursing home in Lewiston.
She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 25, 1934, the daughter of Edward and Olive Martin Hiltunen. She was educated in local schools and married Robert Cote on May 8, 1958. Mr. Cote passed away on Jan. 3, 2014.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at several different shoe shops, including Supreme Slipper and Jones & Vining. She also worked for Hillcrest Farm and a local egg producer.
Nancy was very family-oriented, and enjoyed baking and knitting for her family. She also loved to travel, especially around the state of Maine.
Survivors include six sons, Roger of Lisbon, Ronald of Lewiston, Ray of Lewiston, Robert Jr. and wife, Sherri, of Lewiston, Rockwell and wife, Myranda, of Poland, and Rene and partner, Colleen, of Lewiston; a daughter, Darlene and husband, Kenneth Polley; a sister, Annette Montminy of Lewiston; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
