FARMINGTON — Emmie Theberge, Clean Energy Advocate for the Natural Resources Council of Maine, and ReVision Energy will lead a presentation on solar power from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Farmington Public Library, 117 Academy St.

Solar power is a clean energy source that is available statewide, providing benefits, including cheaper power, greater energy independence, local jobs, and less air pollution. According to the presenters, Maine is falling behind and missing out because it doesn’t have a solar policy. To move forward, NRCM is launching a series of gatherings on solar power in a handful of communities around Maine, including Farmington.

The talk will discuss the benefits of solar power, describing options for investing in solar power and how to move Maine forward with new solar policies. There are lots of ways to get involved. ReVision Energy, Maine’s largest solar company, will also be available to answer your questions.

This event is free and open to the public, however, reservations are required. Light refreshments will be provided
