I am writing in support of Peter Letourneau for mayor of Auburn.
In addition to having the interpersonal skills needed to successfully work with the City Council and city manager, he understands the importance of improving Auburn’s schools to attract residents and businesses to this community.
It is discouraging to consider the substantial number of people who work in this community but do not consider living here because of the low priority given to funding the schools, a fact for older residents to keep in mind when thinking about someday selling their homes.
It is time to elect a mayor whose priorities are the interests of the city of Auburn, not the agenda of Gov. Paul LePage. That person is Peter Letourneau.
