1966 – 2015

LEWISTON — Paul George Paradis Jr., 49, of Lewiston, passed away in the late hours of Sunday, Oct. 25, in Lewiston.

He was born on April 5, 1966, in Lewiston, the son of Paul and Jeanne (Beliveau) Paradis Sr. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1984.

Paul married Melanie Simmons in 1994 after serving in the U.S. Army as an infantry man in the late 1980s. He was a professional truck driver for the past 26 years with FedEx, Conway and Walmart and had received several safety commendations. He was one of the founding members of the motorcycle club named Veterans of the Armed Forces (VOTAF).

Paul was an avid Canadians hockey fan and enjoyed riding his Harley on beautiful summer days. He could often be seen flashing his goofy smile, ragging on the “Booins” and generally being a free spirit. Paul was certainly the life of the party.

Paul leaves behind his two children, Michael Paradis, 24, and Jillian Paradis, 20. He is also survived by his mother, Jeanne Beliveau of Lewiston; his sisters, Becky Lessard and her husband, James, of Lewiston, Christina (Paradis) O’Hallaran and her husband, Dan, of New London, N.H.; four nephews; one niece; and a multitude of caring friends.

A rainy day ends with these words, “Into each life some rain must fall, some days must be dark and dreary.” —Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The loss of Paul is a deluge to his family and friends.
