BRUNSWICK — The Theater Project’s 44th season continues with a new adaptation of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” set for performance, Friday, Nov. 6, through Sunday, Nov. 15, at The Theatre Project, 14 School St. This production stars The Theater Project’s high school Young Company and is directed by alum Karin Baard.

“Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” is based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale of depravity, lust, love and horror. On the fog-bound streets of Victorian-era London, Henry Jekyll’s experiments with exotic “powders and tinctures” have brought forth his other self—Edward Hyde, a sensualist and villain free to commit the acts Jekyll is too civilized to comprehend. When Hyde meets a woman who stirs his interest, Jekyll fears for her life and decides to end his experiments. But Hyde has other ideas, and so the two sides battle each other in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse to determine who shall be the master and who his slave.

“Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”  performance times are 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. All tickets are suggested price of $12 and are available online anytime at theaterproject.com,  by calling the box office at 729-8584, or visiting 14 School St., Brunswick.
