LEWISTON — For 50 years, Community Concepts Inc. has offered a variety of housing, economic development and social services for the communities of Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties. These services support both the basic needs of low-income families and promote self-sufficiency.
To celebrate this significant milestone, Community Concepts will engage the community in three meaningful ways:
* Continuing commitment to community service. On Wednesday, Nov. 4, staff and partner volunteers will winterize 50 homes in one day. Families will be provided with the materials and knowledge needed to tighten up homes for the winter.
* Celebrating employees. Staff will enjoy lunch together on Nov. 4 to refuel and take part in a friendly chili and chowder cook-off.
* Listening sessions to meet long-term community needs. The 50th-year celebration is a time to look back at the work Community Concepts has done and to look forward at the work ahead. On Nov. 4, Community Concepts will recognize the dedicated staff that drives success.
