RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Lionel “G Bell” Belanger was celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m., at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Greg Dube was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Because the Lord is my Shepherd,” “Amazing Grace” and “Fly Like a Bird.” The Old and New Testaments were proclaimed by granddaughter, Jenny Belanger. Prayer of the Faithful was offered by granddaughter, Jenny Belanger. Offertory Gifts were presented by son, Rich Belanger and granddaughter, Jenny Belanger. Personal reflections were shared by son, Rich Belanger. Interment will be in Maine Veterans’ Cemetery at a later date. A reception catered by S.G. Thibault Funeral Home was served by the Daughters of Isabella in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
