PERU — The Friends of Peru Elementary School will host an open house and Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Peru Community Center.
Yvonne Allen, co-manager of the Peru Community Center’s Consignment Shop, said the Rumford Senior Citizens will sell raffle tickets for two large Thanksgiving baskets and offer a variety of gift baskets in a Chinese auction.
“There will also be a bake sale, crafts and attic treasures available at the fair,” Allen said.
The community center’s other programs, including their paint-and-take classes, the library and the Consignment Shop will be open throughout the morning.
“The gym will also be filled with crafters and attic treasures for Christmas shoppers,” Allen said.
All children who attend the Christmas Fair will receive a membership for the community center library.
The open house and Christmas Fair is a chance for people to “stop in and see all the Peru Community Center has to offer,” she said.
