Pause for Pets Fair
LEWISTON — The 8th Pause for Pets Craft and Vendor Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Ramada Inn.
More than 70 tables featuring local crafters and small-business owners will be on display.
Volunteers from the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society will be there to discuss their programs and services. They will be accepting donations of pet food, toys, newspapers, bleach and other essential items.
Proceeds benefit the Greater Androscoggin Human Society.
The last fair held in April raised more than $2,300 for the shelter. Pause for Pets events are coordinated by Lauren Odiorne and Shannon Vishe.
Stephens High ’55 to meet
ANDOVER — The Stephens High School Class of 1955 will meet on at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Little Red Hen in Andover for their monthly luncheon and meeting.

Veterans Day activities at Mountain Valley High School
BETHEL — Marcel Martineau, commander of Post 24, and Edward J. Roach Jr., commander of Post 1641, met to plan events for Veterans Day.
Veterans of all wars and conflicts are invited to meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Mountain Valley Middle School.
At 10 a.m., veterans will march into the hall followed by the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, men of the VFW Auxiliary and other participants.
Mountain Valley High School Music Department will provide marching music.
RAAPA will provide vocal songs.
Tricia Thurston will be the main speaker and Dane Curate and his team will speak about the American flag.
There will be a tables in honor of prisoners of war and those missing in action.
MS caregiver potluck supper
LEWISTON — The Multiple Sclerosis support group will honor caregivers with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave.

MECHANIC FALLS — A baked bean supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at American Legion, 41 Elm St.
Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children 5-12.

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in the Recreation Building, where a 10 1/2 table Mitchell movement club appreciation game was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A N/S were Mike Newsom and Misha Tomic; second, Mike Quinn and Mike True; third, Diana and Jim Fallon, also first in flights B & C; and fourth, Neenie Kivus and David Lock.
Second in flight B were David Kallander and Paul Clement, also second in flight C; third, Cynthia and Bill Clifford, also third in flight C; and fourth in flight C were Milt McKeen and Jim Krainin.
