AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County will host a Winterberry Holiday Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Foss Mansion, 19 Elm St.

“The Fair will offer handmade crafts, Christmas items, baked goods, raffles, elegant treasures, berry bowls, books and jewelry,” said Doreen Jordan, co-chair of the event. “Dried floral elements will be for sale with which you can make your own holiday arrangements.”

“One of our big, ongoing challenges is the upkeep on the Foss mansion. We have spent a lot of money on exterior work over the past two years, including saving our garage from collapsing. Now we are looking at more exterior work including fixing railings, broken siding, painting and an old driveway,” said Jordan. “But that’s to be expected with a house that is 100 years old. We hope the community supports our efforts to raise money to maintain the mansion as a museum. It is a true historical gem to the community.”

The event is free and open to the public. Proceeds from the Fair will go toward maintaining the Foss Mansion.
