LEWISTON — College for ME Androscoggin will celebrate “big time” Friday, Dec. 4. Not only is it “College Day” in Androscoggin County, but the organization will be celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Mayor Robert E. Macdonald notes, “College for ME continues to do tremendous county-wide outreach to help empower and encourage folks of all ages who wish to pursue a college education. For ten years, C4ME has cheered on countless individuals in their educational journey, and I am so proud that C4ME is part of our community.”
Secondly, College for ME’s annual luncheon will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch.Testimonials, awards, and the launching of College for ME’s new website will be on the agenda. Registration may be made on the college’s website or on its Facebook page.
In addition, individuals may submit nominations for the luncheon awards, which are awards of excellence in three higher education categories: Corporate Awards, Advocate Awards, and Student Awards; self-nominations are also accepted. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, Nov. 20, both on College for ME’s website and its Facebook page.
