Santa coming to town
OXFORD — Santa and Mrs. Claus will light the Christmas trees with Oxford on Friday, Nov. 27.
They will start the evening’s festivities at the old meetinghouse on the corner of Route 26 and Pleasant Street a bit before 5:30 p.m. They will proceed to the Oxford Recreation Center located at 223 King St. to light the centers tree at 5:45 p.m.
Families can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and have gingerbread and punch.
Canton hosting 3rd Annual Wreath Festival
CANTON — The Canton Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will host its Third Annual Wreath Festival at the Canton Fire Station from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sundays, Nov. 28 and 29, and Dec. 5 and 6.
Tickets cost $1 each or six for $5.
Those who bring in a nonperishable item for the food pantry will receive a free ticket.

Public smorgasbord supper planned
PARIS — VFW Post No. 9787 will host a public smorgasbord supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at 58 Lower Main St.
Cost of the meal is $8 for adults and $4 for kids 12 and younger.
Bottle drive Nov. 28
RUMFORD — The National Honor Society chapter at Mountain Valley High School will hold a bottle drive on Saturday, Nov. 28.
