WATERFORD — A 21-year-old Harrison man was killed Friday night when he lost control of his truck and slid into a tree on McWain Hill Road in Waterford.
Police say Daniel Peterson died instantly.
Peterson lost control of his 1997 Ford F-250 as he was going around a curve on McWain Hill Road, police said. The truck rolled onto its side and slid cab-first into a tree.
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the crash shortly before 9:30 p.m Friday from a person who lived nearby. The sheriff’s office continued Saturday to investigate the crash but said speed may have been a factor.
McWain Hill Road was closed for two hours.
