1975 – 2015

TENNESSEE COLONY, TEXAS — Hannah McIntire Johnson, 40, of Midlothian, Texas, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Tennessee Colony, Texas.

She was born on March 27, 1975, in Farmington, the daughter of Carl and Cynthia Johnson. Hannah was a shy, fully blonde-headed girl who grew up in Industry and attended school in Farmington. She graduated from Mt. Blue High School and continued on to the University of Maine in Orono where she was initiated into Chi Omega Sorority and made many lifetime friends. Upon graduating she moved and worked in the Boston area for a period of time. Hannah and her son, Kade, then relocated to Hillsboro, Texas, to be with her parents, Cindy and Carl Johnson. Hannah then met the love of her life, Tom Kamp, in Midlothian. The entire Kamp family and extended family are a loving blended family.

Hannah was down-to-earth, easygoing, and always went out of her way to make others feel welcome. She loved gardening and being outdoors.

She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Johnson; her brother, Erik (Trudy) of Farmington; her sister, Elizabeth (Jonathan) VanKirk of Freeland, Mich.; her nieces, Emily VanKirk, Sophia (Kevin) Jesse, Sabrina VanKirk and Anna VanKirk, all of Freeland, Mich., Erika Johnson and Mariah Johnson of Farmington; her nephew, Alex VanKirk of Freeland, Mich.; her uncles, Algot Johnson, Terrence Johnson, Evan (Maria) McIntire; her aunts, Nancy (Bob) Dionne, Naomi (Richard) Doughty; and her cousins, Amos and Tash Doughty, Caleb Dionne, Anne Ray, and Chris and Jason McIntire.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Algot Sr. and Katherine Johnson; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Bessie McIntire; her nephew, Alek Johnson; and her cousin, Brooke Dionne.
