GLENBURN — Phyllis (Ramey) Leadbetter, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 22, in Glenburn.

Born in Rumford on July 4, 1932, she was a daughter of Perley and Lola Madeline (Jordan) Ramey. She was a graduate of Mexico High School Class of 1950.

Phyllis was married in Mexico on Sept. 1, 1951, to George H. Leadbetter of Glenburn, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Daniel J. Leadbetter of Portland; seven daughters, Deborah Garrett and her husband, Richard, of Westville, N.J., Cynthia Bjorkman and her husband, Michael, of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Greene and her husband, Paul, of South Portland, Laurie Lizotte and her husband, Brian, of Bangor, Heidi Walton of Boise, Idaho, Robin Mort of Elko, Nev., Amy Smith and husband, Thomas, of Waldorf, Md.; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Bruce Ramey and his wife, Alice, of Rumford Center; three sisters, Shirley Swett of Mexico, Virginia “Ginny” Perkins of Rumford, and Jo-Anne Kelcourse and husband, Timothy, of Mexico.

She was predeceased by a son, Stephen Leadbetter; and four sisters, Annie Ramey, Wilma Delano, Sadie Brown and Sr. Sandra Lola Ramey; and a brother, Perley Ramey.
