FARMINGTON — As Thanksgiving approaches, the Farmington Grange on Bridge St. opens its doors to the Farmington Winter Market. Shoppers will find a variety of produce and goods from local farmers, cheese-makers, craftspeople and bakers to bring to the holiday table.

The market is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through April. Parking is available on Bridge Street.

A special holiday market will be offered the Wednesday, Nov. 25, before Thanksgiving and Wednesday, Dec. 23, before Christmas. There will not be a market Saturdays, Nov. 28 or Dec. 26.

Fifteen or more local producers will offer bread, meats, cheese, pies, cookies, vegetables, herbs, soaps and yarn.

This year’s opening day was “the best winter market day ever,” said market manager, Bonnie Clark. The market is quickly becoming known for the variety of vendors and products gathered from all over Western Maine.
