1934 – 2015
AUBURN — Joan Irene Gagnon Gagne, 81, of Auburn passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, following a long illness.
The daughter of Henri and Rose Marie Leblond, she was born on Jan. 24, 1934, and was a lifelong resident of Auburn. She was a member of St. Louis Parish and attended St. Louis School.
She married Maurice Alfred Gagnon in October 1954. He passed away in 1973. She later married Robert Willis Gagne in March 1978. He passed away in 1997.
In her lifetime, she worked in the local shoe factories and in 1997, she retired from L.L.Bean.
She is survived by her three children, Diane Estabrook and her husband, George, Aline Kelly and her husband, Robert, and Robert Gagnon and his wife, Denise. She is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jessica Estabrook, Cassandra MacDonald and her husband, Garth, Caitlin Kelly, Matthew Kelly, Dana Bussiere and his wife, Mindy, and their son, Ryder, Tyler Baril and his wife, Angela, and Dylan Gagnon and his son, Wesley. She is also survived by her sister, Muguette Van Allen.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Paul Leblond, Laurette Gagne, Georgette Turgeon, Mignonne Gauthier, Gracia Hill and Gloria Boyd.
