FARMINGTON — Franklin County Animal Shelter will waive adoption fees this weekend.
From Black Friday, Nov. 27, through Monday, Nov. 30, the shelter is joining national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society, along with animal rescue groups and shelters across the country to offer free adoptions.
All adoptable pets will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. The shelter will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on all four days, including Sunday.
FCAS is an active partner in Best Friends’ No More Homeless Pets Network, which offers help and support to animal rescue groups that save lives in their communities. FCAS is the only shelter in the state participating in this promotion.
Franklin County Animal Shelter has been providing care for stray and unwanted animals in the Farmington area since 1974.
