INDUSTRY — Kick off your holiday season with the thoroughly charming holiday musical play “Merry Christmas, Strega Nona” on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Dec. 3, 4 and 5, at 7 p.m., and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m., Dec. 6. The play is perfect for the whole family and a “must-see” for all grandparents.

Tomie de Paola’s beloved Strega Nona, performed by dancer Jodi Stebbins (Augusta), comes to life in thism musical stage adaptation. Big Anthony, performed by Marshall Smith (Starks), nearly ruins Christmas and it seems like nothing but a miracle can save Strega Nona’s feast. But is a time for miracles … and Christmas “has a magic all its own.”

The full cast also includes Isabelle Rogers (Phillips), Maya Labelle (Starks), Mary Rogers (Phillips), Phoebe Rogers (Phillips), Nellie Wolton (Mercer), Elizabeth Smedberg (Starks), Crystal Nersessian (Farmington), Erin Taylor (Norridgewock), Henry Lindeman (Madison) and Holly Lindeman (Madison).

The music is perfonned by Bob Lovelace (Solon), Michael Burd (Industry) and Ellie Howell (Bingham).Directed by Cindy Brown (Starks), costumes by Assistant Director Bobbie Bane (Gardiner). Based in Industry, Sparrow’s Nest Theater, aims to support and foster a creative arts community.

Sparrow’s Nest Creative Community is a non-profit organization supported by United in Christ Presbyterian Church in Starks and Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware. The theater is funded, in part, through grants from the Presbytery of Northem New England and Mission at the Eastward.
